How did Andrés begin painting?

I grew up an only child. I have been expressing myself through art because I could not find anyone around me who I thought could relate to my feelings. This then laid dormant as I entered adulthood only to come back out in full force after I experienced burnout from my corporate job in 2021. I began painting in November 2021 and have been nonstop since.

Where is Andrés from?

Andrés is from Medellín, Colombia. At age 8, Andrés migrated to the US with his mother in search of a better life due to the violence and lack of opportunities. He lived in Southern California until age 15, when his family relocated to Michigan.

What inspires his art?

Nature, relationships, feelings, and contradictions.
